From  East Africa  to America’s shining  stars
Phiona Mutesi
Lupita Nyong'o
KAMPALA, Uganda

THE Ugandan chess star, Phiona Mutesi,15, is expected to shine in Hollywood with her neighbour,Oscar-winning Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o, in a film titled Queen of Katwe. The film will base on telling the story of Mutesi's rise from nine-year-old chess enthusiast to international star player.

Mutesi who is believed to be the chess star in Uganda, her story is being turned into a Hollywood film with Oscar-winning Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o tipped to play her mother.

The film of Mutesi’s story, is based on a book of the same name about Mutesi by American writer Tim Crothers. It is to be shot in Uganda and South Africa, directed by Mira Nair and produced by Disney.

Back in 2005, Mutesi discovered a chess program held in a church in the Katwe slum districts in Kampala. Potential players were enticed with a free cup of porridge, and Mutesi began
organising her days around her visits to the church.

“It was so interesting,” she said.
“But I didn’t go there for chess, I went just
to get a meal.”

“I like chess because it involves planning,” said Mutesi. “If you don’t plan, you will end
up with a bad life.”

LUPITA NYON'GO
She makes her life through making films in Hollywood, she pursue a professional acting career.

Lupita is now known worldwide as a film star from Hollywood, something she was dreaming of, before.

Like her colleague Mutesi, Lupita also comes from East Africa where she grew up before she went to America for her carrier.

They both passed through difficult African lives  as they grew up in the country side and experience primitive life style.

But today, life has become easier for them and every success wish they had in the past, will now help summarize the meaning of their hope and life in general.

THE 3RD DAY OF MY TRAINING

It seems will be great as my passion for this training is mounting, I expect to learn more from my trainer, I will be able to search materials through internet without plagiarizing.

This will be crucial as I also teach my students not to plagiarize materials from any document or internet because by doing so you'll be going against the copyright law.

THE 2ND DAY OF MY TRAINING AT DSJ

I learned about how to search materials on the web by using different search tips e.g.
1.      To choose the right search words in order to have the right search
2.      To use different search options
